What state park would you recommend in the southern United States?
I have not been to many state parks. So let's share ideas travel. Where would you go and why? Thank you for your comments! I'm not an RV or camper, so it's either find cottages or rough it camping. I liked Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Ala., where we rented a cabin. We went during the fall. The foliage and the mountains were beautiful. The cabin was comfortable and overlooked the valley and downtown Huntsville. This http://www.alapark.com/parks/park.cfm?parkid=6 summer I camped at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, Florida. The campers range 'private' and the facilities are clean, spotless. The beaches of white sand, emerald green waters are beautiful! http://www.floridastateparks.org/hendersonbeach/default.cfm
http://www.floridastateparks.org/caladesiisland/ I went to Caladesi last year and absolutely loved it. It's beautiful and wild. There were huge turtles walking on the beach and beautiful birds. The boat trip, it is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend it.
