What is the best Universal Resource guide out there for learning camping?
I have my good old and very worn Boy Scout manual, but it is terribly late. I am head of the hike around the base of Mt. Hood in September and I want to be able to prepare for Travel through the acquisition of all the camping gear right I can. I need a resource guide for this, though, and I do not know that we really exists. Example: If I wanted to learn all about boating, I would buy "Chapman Guide to flying." Is there something like that out there which covers camping gear, speed, technology, physical training, techniques of wilderness survival, etc. Thanks!
